COMING UP SOON! UPenn Grasp Lab Robotics Demo @ NextFab
USMART Team from the UPenn Grasp Robotics Lab will present an overview of some of their robotics work and how they use the Robot Operating System (ROS) produced by Willow Garage. This is an open-source system framework for advanced robot systems.
The presenters plan to give a gentle introduction to the packages and capabilities in this software, by giving a high level overview of their system approach and then narrowing to a few functions which will display the way they have applied ROS to their robot.
This approach will be incredibly useful to people unfamiliar with ROS, while giving current users a greater idea of how to integrate this software in their own projects. Additionally, they will describe our competitions and the reasons why their robot is so awesome.
